What periods do these pieces come from?

The items span from the late nineteenth century through the mid twentieth century, including Victorian, Edwardian, Arts and Crafts, and Art Deco eras. Lighting fixtures lean heavily into early twentieth century French and Italian designs, while jewellery ranges from Victorian silver work to 1950s gold mounts.

How do I care for crystal drops?

Crystal pendants require gentle cleaning with mild soapy water and a soft cloth to preserve their refractive surfaces without scratching the metal mounts. Avoid harsh chemical dips, particularly on antique gilt brass, silver, or rock crystal settings where protective finishes might degrade.

Are all teardrop pendants meant to be worn?

The phrase covers both wearable jewellery and lighting components, so many teardrop crystals hang directly from antique chandeliers rather than necklaces. Buyers should check object types carefully to distinguish between personal pendants, earrings, and architectural drop crystals.

What metals are used in these pieces?

Lighting fixtures predominantly use brass, gilt metal, bronze, iron, and tolewear to form the structural arms and frames that support the crystal drops. Jewellery pieces utilise silver, nine-carat gold, and gilt settings to secure rock crystal, topaz, citrine, and marcasite.
