What is a linen press?

A linen press is a tall storage furniture piece traditionally designed for holding household textiles and folded garments. These units typically feature interior sliding trays in the upper section and drawer storage below.

How do I place an armoire?

Placing a large cabinet requires measuring ceiling height and floor space to ensure the proportions suit the room. Position these pieces against solid walls away from direct heat sources to protect the historic timber.

Are these cabinets dismantled?

Many period wardrobes and large cupboards are constructed as multi-part units or can be partially disassembled for transport. Checking the construction format helps determine how the piece moves through doorways and stairwells.
