What periods do these wall lights represent?

The pieces span from the nineteenth century through the early decades of the twentieth century, capturing revivals of earlier French court aesthetics. Victorian and Edwardian interpretations sit alongside pieces dated directly to the 1920s and 1930s. Stylistic cues such as Louis XIV or Empire details reflect the historical design periods that makers chose to emulate rather than the exact decade of manufacture.

Are these wall lights suitable for electricity?

Numerous antique wall lights are already adapted with internal wiring to accept standard electric lamp holders while retaining their original candle drip pans. This allows them to function safely on modern domestic electrical circuits without losing their visual character. Buyers should verify whether specific fixtures have been rewired before installation to meet current safety standards.

A girandole is a specific type of wall light or wall mirror featuring integrated candle arms that project forward from the glass or frame. The mirrored glass reflects the light to brighten dark spaces. These pieces combine decorative wall mirrors with functional branch lighting for formal reception rooms.
