What rooms suit a four light ceiling fixture?

These fixtures fit well in medium-sized reception rooms, bedrooms, and hallways where four bulbs provide adequate ambient or task illumination without overwhelming the space. How do I distinguish Edwardian from 1930s fixtures?

Edwardian pieces often feature heavier brass work with traditional period motifs, sometimes incorporating practical mechanics like rise and fall counterweights. Thirty pieces from the interwar decades lean towards streamlined Art Deco geometries or stylised French interpretations with extensive crystal drop arrays.

Are these fixtures wired for modern power?

Antiques of this age generally require rewiring to meet current electrical standards and safety codes upon installation in a modern home. A qualified electrician can easily update the internal candle tubes and wiring while preserving the original metal and glass exterior.

How do I clean a crystal chandelier?
