Macintosh Antiques was founded by Patrick Macintosh in 1991 in Sherborne Dorset and is now run together with his wife Vickie from a lovely ham stone mews building in the heart of the town with showrooms covering 3500 square feet. Our stock dates from the 17th to the 20th centuries and ranges from traditional Georgian oak and mahogany , West Country painted furniture, lighting and accessories through the Architect designed furniture of the 19th century to the English Arts and Crafts movement of the early and mid 20th century .
We are open 6 days a week by appointment or when you see the doors open and all of our clients and friends are assured a warm welcome.
All the items on our website are priced and available for sale and we are able to offer a delivery service ourselves in the UK . We have our own van which goes to London and the Home Counties weekly and we can organise overseas shipments if required through a web of experienced and well proven shippers and carriers. We also have a 5000 square foot store close to Sherborne with a large quantity of un-restored furniture for dealers and interior designers. There is a particular emphasis on comfortable country house upholstery and large tables.
We offer a full local re-upholstery and restoration service for any un-restored purchase and quotes can be provided without obligation on request.
