We had a grand "unwrapping" on Friday and were very pleased indeed with the piece. It is really quite beautiful, the colours muted with age lend it great character and whereas we thought we might need to have a repaint, no such touching is necessary - it is quite perfect.
It is in fact Carole, exactly as you described it - a quality item and one we are delighted to have.
