Description

A crocodile handbag and purse dating to the elegant and fashionable Art Deco era of the 1920s and 1930s. This superb quality handbag and inner separate purse are made of brown crocodile skin in excellent condition. The handbag is lined with simulated suede. It opens to reveal a fixed inner purse, which in turn opens to reveal a second inner purse, partly lined with cream goatskin. Within the second inner purse is the small separate crocodile purse (not quite big enough to hold a bank card). The handbag is closed with a functioning zip and press studs. The handle is adjustable but is best kept close to the top of the handbag by means of a press stud. The handle has softened somewhat with use but this is commensurate with age. A remarkable survivor from the era between WWI and WWII.
