A George I Style Red Lacquer and Chinoiserie Decorated Cabinet on Chest

Description

A George I Style red lacquer and chinoiserie decorated cabinet on chest. The upper section having a broken swan neck cornice with a turned and decorated finial with gilded and lacquered detail and having two arched bevelled mirrored doors with extensive chinoiserie decoration, opening to reveal a three shelved interior. The lower chest section having three graduating oak lined drawers with typical chinoiserie lacquered detail and period style brass engraved handles and backplates. Raised on shaped bracket feet with a wavy apron, with chinoiserie detail to the ends and sides. English in the George I Chinoiserie taste C1930, super condition.

Dimensions: 92" high x 20" deep x 41" wide
