Gary Wright Antiques Ltd has dated this George III Mahogany Settee to the Georgian era.
The padded upholstered seat with a serpentine front, having a curvaceous seat rail raised on shapely cabriole legs, terminating in carved acanthus leaf toes. The rear of the settee is equally well drawn having swept legs with similar carving, all terminating in original brass barrel castors. With a good rich colour and patina. Upholstered in recent years in usable condition in pink water silk having some fading and minor marks.
