Large Plaster Bust C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

Large and impressive plaster bust of a gentleman in military uniform c.1900. Slightly larger than life size head and shoulders length bust of a young gentleman with a faint moustache. In a fine uniform with epaulettes, a high decorated collar, medal and sash. Across one shoulder, in the manner of a Roman Caesar is draped a robe. Presented on a turned wooden column and shaped plinth with laurel leaf garlands. Quite a bit of damage at the rear and bottom edge of the bust, the front and face are in very good condition.
