Description

1940s Vertex Revue pocket watch for British Rail.

The watch has a good clean Swiss movement, signed Vertex Revue, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the logo of G Thommen, owner of the brand name Vertex Revue.

The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of watch cases and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition. The back of the watch has a long service inscription from British Rail London Midland Region.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in super condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
