Fine quality Victorian Aesthetic Period Bonheur Du Jour or ladies desk of stunning appearance in exceptional condition, circa 1880.

Fabulous ebonised cabinet on turned legs, frieze drawer, gilt decoration & delightful gilded door panels to a pair of small cupboards showing Japanese influence with hand painted birds & foliage.

Working cupboard locks with keys, fitted jewellery or trinket drawers, turned gallery features.

Beautiful gilt tooled shaped bordered leather inset to top.

A magnificent and rare furnishing piece of it’s period, we believe only recently removed from the Victorian house in which it has probably resided since being craftsman made, hence the stunning originality of this desk.
