Pair of fine quality early C20th Chinese carved ‘huanghuali’ hardwood occasional , lamp or end tables .
Exceptional pair of Chinese rectangular tables with stepped friezes and carved open corner frets , raised on shaped supports with carved details, carved ‘key’ feet and inset panel tops . Joined on three sides of the base by stepped stretchers , one side being open allowing objects to be easily positioned beneath the tables if desired.
In excellent original condition with a wonderful colour and patina to the well selected superior grade of figured huanghuali hardwood .
A highly decorative pair of tables of practical scale and proportions to add an exotic oriental accent to an interior scheme.
