A gorgeous 19th century Caucasian runner, which is also narrow, and has a beautiful colours. The black field has gently corroded to reveal the foundation in places but this should most definitely been seen as an asset, not a liability! It greatly increases the visual appeal by suggesting great age and by slightly elevating the medallions to give a perceptible 3D effect. A very beautiful and rare runner.
