A superb Edwardian silver vesta and wax seal holder in a simple yet classy rectangular design with smooth sides, a smooth oval hinged top, and space for a seal at the base. There is a ridged match strike to one side.
A lovely tactile object with a distinguished Edwardian style.
Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1908. Maker marks are slightly rubbed but can be identified as Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd
