Late Victorian Silver Photo Frame Birmingham 1901

1900 - 1920
Description

A late Victorian quality silver photo frame with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1901 and makers mark for T May & Co, in the top left corner. The frame has a curving square perimeter, within which is a cast and pierced frame of entwined circular stems, foliage and flowers. There is a vacant shield at the tip and the centre of the frame is circular. The frame had a dark blue velvet on board backing, replacing the original back at some point but not recently. A good quality frame, in excellent condition.
