The figurine stands at 16.3 cm in height, with a width of 5.5 cm and a depth of 6.5 cm. It is in excellent condition with no damages, a testament to the craftsmanship of the KPM artisans. Dated to early 20th century.
KPM, also known as the Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin, was founded in 1763 by King Frederick II of Prussia. The company's origins, however, can be traced back to three private enterprises that were trying to establish porcelain production in Berlin from the mid-18th century onwards. To this day, KPM continues to produce unique pieces, with their logo, a cobalt blue sceptre, stamped on every piece. The figurines and dishware forms created by KPM throughout its history are appreciated for their design longevity, some having hardly changed their shape in over 200 years of production. Porcelain figurines of different styles corresponding to each era have always been created under the guidance of the master workshop at KPM, with this piece being no exception.
