1920s Jacobean Style Oak Bureau on Bobbin-Turned Integral Stand
A good quality 1920s oak piece in the Jacobean style and in very good condition, the fall-front supported on retracting lopers with brass pull-handles, with working lock & key and opening to reveal an interior fitted with pigeon holes, over a single drawer with geometric mouldings and fitted with brass 'tear-drop' handles, all on an integral stand with projecting mouldings to front & sides and incorporating a further matching but wider drawer, on bobbin-turned legs and bun feet, united by square double stretchers, this handsome writing bureau is both stylish and very practical and will impress in any tastefully-appointed home, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in inspiration.
