An attractive and useful Early 20th Century Antique English Brass and Iron Door Porter / Door Stop modelled as a stag standing alert amongst foliage which rises some 40.00 cm. / 15.75 inches before terminating in a scrolled handle for ease of movement. This heavy piece is unmarked, { we have removed the iron plate to investigate ! }, and whilst a popular Victorian design, was probably manufactured by Pearson Page of Birmingham, circa 1920.
