Egyptian Revival Console Table C.1930

1920 - 1940
Description

Very unusual French Egyptian revival style console table c.1930. Inch thick green and white veined marble top over a slim mahogany apron. Fabulous front supports carved after ancient Egyptian representations of the falcon headed god Horus, with large lion's paw feet. Attractive gilt finish with green painted elements. Large mirror back panel and open plinth display shelf raised on bun feet front and rear. Some tarnished patches to the mirror plate, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
