A highly decorative and sensitively rendered early 18th century oil on canvas portrait. The half length portrait, of an unknown sitter, elegantly poised, wearing a silk dress, a shawl draped across her shoulders and holding roses in her hand.
In pretty much untouched, unrestored, unlined condition, there are a couple of old repairs to the canvas. There are two paper labels to the stretcher for '' Del Vecchio'' Print, Looking-glass, Statuary, Plaster of Paris & Cement Manufacturer to His Majesty King George IV.
