Tinker & Toad has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The rake back is topped with a large bolster that perfectly nestles the neck and in turn supports your head perfectly. The rounded seat is flanked with large bolster arms which, like the back bolster, are gathered and finished with a decorative rosette. The whole standing on pretty ebonised legs which terminate in brass castors. The leather is in reasonably good condition for its age but has old repairs to its back and has marks and scuffs commensurate with age. We think the wear only adds to its old world charm! The C18th hardwood and brass stud decorated trunk is for sale in a separate listing.
