In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A salver is a flat serving tray, typically made of sterling silver, historically used in formal households to present letters, visiting cards, or beverages.

Victorian salvers were crafted from sterling silver using cast or pierced border moulding, often supported on cast feet and detailed with hand-engraved surface decoration.

Authentic British Victorian sterling silver features a full set of hallmark impressions, including the lion passant, town mark, date letter, sovereign head duty mark, and maker initials.

An antique silver salver can be styled flat on a sideboard to organize decanters, positioned vertically on a plate stand, or utilised as a vanity tray for accessories.

Silver salvers should be cleaned with specialized silver polish and soft cotton cloths, avoiding abrasive substances or prolonged exposure to moisture to prevent tarnish.
