Flame Mahogany Dressing Mirror - Victorian - c1860

A gorgeous example of a Victorian Dressing Mirror.

This large-sized piece is in great order throughout. Original bronze hinge fittings are all fully functioning.

The mahogany frame displays the fine flaming grain wonderfully and benefits from superb hand carved detailing.

The piece sits over scroll carved feet. The mirror plate is in good order and shows light foxing to the surface which is sufficient to add interest to the glass, yet still allow the piece to function correctly as a mirror.

Overall a nicely proportioned, well carved, clean mirror in very good order. A very stylish interpretation of the type.
