19th Century Tinsel Print

Description

This tinsel print depicts Mr Kean an actor at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

This print has been done from the original painting by L Drummond ARA.

I believe this shows Edmund Kean as Richard III.

This has been decorated with small fragments of shiny metal, some silver coloured some red. There are also areas of fabric, hat, sleeves and cloak. It has been mounted on another piece of card, which would appear to be old, some marks.

It is in good condition but there are losses of the “tinsel” decoration, please see pictures.

The frame is new, but could be reframed in a plain wooden frame which would further enhance what is already a charming picture.
