Black Japanned Chinoiserie Bureau

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful decorative black japanned bureau smothered in hand painted red and gold chinoiserie designs.

The front fall opens out to create a writing surface supported by 2 pull out slides underneath.

The interior is fitted with 6 pigeon holes and a small drawer.

There are a further 3 drawers below with brass drop handles and decorated with more had painted oriental scenes and florals.

On cabriole legs with ball and claw feet.

In good condition, with minor marks in keeping with age.
