Description

Georgian Dressing Mirror - Cross banded - c1790

A handsome example of a Georgian Dressing Mirror.

This large-sized piece is in great order throughout and benefits from a useful sized jewellery drawer.

The original detailed metalwork is in fine order and the combination of stylish finial, attractively cast side thumb turns, and delicate drawer pulls delivers a highly desirable item.

The mahogany mirror frame benefits from superb crossbanding to the perimeter which is matched to the drawer surrounds.

The piece sits upon swept bracket feet. The mirror plate is in good order shows some marks of age and light foxing.

Overall a nice Georgian mirror in good order.
