Antique Longcase Clock Kimich Bath

Description

A Somerset mahogany longcase clock. A swan-neck hood pediment with brass patterae and central brass finial. Choice flame mahogany veneers to the case with marquetry inlays. A well painted arched dial with sailing frigates. A convex dial centre with fine brass crown hands, date and seconds indicators. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

Kimich & Flaig & Co. are recorded in White's 'Watch and Clockmakers of Bath' book as working in London Terrace and Somerset Buildings from 1845.
