An Exceptional 20 Drawer Butterfly Collectors Cabinet by Crockett of Cavendish Square. London. Circa 1890.

Description

Possibly the best 20 drawer crockett cabinet we have had the pleasure to own. This is a crockett 'de-luxe' in solid mahogany throughout including plank mahogany drawer bases. Complete with the original drawer plates as fitted by j.t.crockett upon order.

The cabinet is built in well figured honduras mahogany and has spent nearly all it's life with only one or two owners. The drawers run smoothly and all have the original closely fitted glazed frame tops. The lock and key and all fittings are present and function well. Glides on hidden casters.

Originally supplied as a cabinet to house a british butterfly collection this cabinet will lend itself to a multitude of collecting pursuits. All in excellent condition.

Overall depth. 2 inches. (to accommodate british imperial size pins).
