A beautiful good sized English antique import solid sterling silver table snuff or trinket box. It is hallmarked with the London import mark for 1901 with the makers mark being that of John George Piddington. It has been superbly made being embossed with a cherub design unusually the interior is as detailed as the exterior. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 4.5 inches (11.3cm) across by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) tall and weighs 88 grams. A very pretty piece.
