Description

A rather lovely French Buffet deux corps, in burr elm of almost spectacular colour, dating to the Restauration period or early 19th Century. Obviously in two parts with decorated fielded panels to both sections with fitted shelves to the interior. There are carved acorns, flowers and vase decoration in relief. The buffet or lower section has two large drawers.all the bronze escutcheons and metalwork is original. It still retains its original cabriole legs with knurled feet.

this must have been in its home for many years, it simply required a good clean and wax to bring back its wonderful patina. A really exceptional example
