Pair of Silver Candlesticks, 1897

Description

A Pair of Silver Candlesticks.

The candlesticks, each with a lift out drip pan, the swept rim with gadroon decoration between the hexagonal corners. The drip pans fitting within candle holders formed as hexagonal campana vases, decorated with rising flowers. The hexagonal stems with chamfered caps, over the tapering bodies, decorated with flower adorned panels, between further concave fielded panels. The stems spreading into the stepped and concave mould bases, likewise with floral decoration.

Hallmarked for John Round, Sheffield 1897.
