Magnificent Japanese Meiji (late 19thC) lacquer sencha tea tray (Shiho-bon) with dragon treasure boat decoration. The superb intricate maki-e lacquer decoration on a nashiji (pear) ground is clearly by a master craftsman. Comes with a stand in its original wooden storage box. Measures 28.8 x 28.8 x 4.9cm.
Excellent condition with no damage or marks. Museum quality.
