Description

A very fine early first period Worcester porcelain press moulded slop bowl. Pleat moulded walls inset into the body with raised finely detailed moulding creating arabesque framed cartouches with scrolls and foliate sprigs. Painted in enamels with the "Staghunt" pattern derived from a Chinese original, and a device of three "cannonballs" inside the base. Unmarked, c.1755.

It measures 16cm (6 5/16") wide and 8cm (3 1/8") high.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Minimal handling wear externally and minor appropriate surface wear inside
