Stunning exhibition quality Victorian bureau de dame, veneered in burr yew-wood and kingwood and with fine marquetry inlay and having superb quality ormolu mounts in the Louis XV style. The interior in olivewood and rosewood bandings and fitted with two mahogany lined drawers. Also mahogany lined drawer to side. Lovely cabriole legs fitted with ormolu sabots. Even the lock and hinges are engraved. All in wonderful un-touch original condition with no repairs. Superb honey colour with great waxed patina. BEARS ORIGINAL MAKERS LABEL UNDERNEATH OF SAMUEL WEBB & CO, OXFORD STREET LONDON. Active 1850-80 It would be very difficult to find a better example of its kind.

Size; 35" high, 26" wide, 19" deep. Fall height 28"
