19th Century Crystal & Ormolu Elephant Head ‘Cave a Liqueur’ Drinks Box, French, C. 1880
Exquisite crystal and ormolu ‘Cave a liqueur’. A crystal casket with decorative faux bamboo styled ormolu frame on four finely carved feet in the form of dressed elephant heads, bevelled glass, front and top panel lifts open to reveal the contents inside. Mirrored glass base.
Inside is the complete set of 16 x original diamond cut glasses and 4 matching decanters, fitted within faux bamboo ormolu carrier with glass base. The decanter and glasses carrier can be removed from the display case for serving
