Mike Melody Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
It is a superb deep rich colour ,has its original wire hinges and excellent patina.
We are dating as c1660 it has also original high feet.
There is one small 18thc repair to a panel on the lid . Nothing serious . See pic
The measurements are 97cms w 56cms h and 44cms d.
