A superb quality 18th Century Italian giltwood console table, having the original veined turquoise marble top with a thumb moulded edge above a highly decorative carved giltwood frieze which runs along the sides as well as the front, incorporating intricate dentil moulding, floral patraes at each corner, various carved foliage and a panel at the centre depicting a scene with cherubs playing various musical instruments, the underneath of the frieze has further carved moulding, supported on four highly decorative tapering turned and fluted legs with carved leaf decoration on the bottom terminating on ebonised ball feet. Circa 1770.
