Constructed from solid mahogany, it benefits from a lovely single-plank top (a sign of quality), incorporating a gallery up-stand at the back and finished with a thumb moulding. Below, there are two working drawers, decorated with cock-beading, which incorporate their original mahogany reeded knobs. The mahogany lined drawers feature lovely fine hand-dovetailed joints; they run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The side table with two drawers stands on four elegant tapered fluted legs.
