Description

A Pretty Pair Of C19th Venetian Girandole Mirrors . The aged and foxed original period mirrors with central gilt bronze sconces with glass drip tray, each holding a single candle. Branching from the sconces are twin arms to the top and bottom embellished with beautiful leaf and coloured fruit glass drops. Large facetted pear drops flank the lower hanging glass fruit. The whole in delicate gilt gesso frames. Lots of wear and patina as you would expect but this is commensurate with age. Small areas of gesso loss to the inner slip of the frame. Lovely decorative mirrors which the candles light up beautifully which in turns sets the glass drops reflecting.
