Description

This stunning and rather unusual spot-hammered silver mounted iridescent glass dressing table jar is dated Birmingham 1907. The spot-hammered silver lid with vacant roundel. Mounted on a delightful green iridescent glass body, very probably Loetz glass.

Hallmarks:

A&J Z for A&J Zimmerman Ltd.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "d" for 1907.

Condition:

Good.

Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Lid in good condition.

Dimensions:

Height: 10cm / 4 inches.

Diameter at widest: 8cm / 3.2 inches.
