A mid C19th stool with leather hide seat, walnut frame and ''Cope & Collinson'' castors. This stool features a recently reupholstered seat finished maroon coloured hand dyed leather hide, deep buttoned and finished with antique brass tack trim. Raised on Gillows type legs in well figured walnut. On water-gilt, ''Cope & Collision Patent'' stamped castors. Dating from the mid C19th.Cope & Collinson are reknown for producing the finest brass hardware, and regularly used on Gillows furniture.
