Description

These are described in “18th Century silver tea tongs by David Shlosberg - page 68” as early baluster tea tongs circa 1720-1725.

These have an interlocking hinge and carry a family crest to the centre of the hinge box.

Good working order, although signs of repair to one of the bowls, could have happened in manufacture, and a slight split to the other bowl.

These are rare tea tongs and very early.
