A Victorian Rosewood Slipper/ Library Easy Chair, C.1880 In The Manner Of Gillows

A great little chair full of character and charm.
 
Uphostered in sail/oil cloth with traditional horsehair stuffing and painted buttons to match. Crisply turned and carved legs with cabochon collars to the front, and nicely raked back legs.
 
The frame is solid, and the rosewood of good colour and well-figured.
 
Upholstery has a lovely worn finish and a few isolated scuffs and punctures, as per images. The cloth has a good many years of wear left in it.
