Georgian Antique Mahogany Bureau

An attractive Georgian antique mahogany bureau. The antique mahogany and crossbanded bureau has a fall front that opens to reveal a fitted interior, consisting of a central cupboard flanked by six pigeon holes and an arrangement of four short over two long drawers, also two secret compartments (pictured). Below the fall front is an arrangement of four long graduating drawers, each with decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The Georgian bureau is raised on shaped bracket feet. A rather pleasing example, with decorative crossbanded satinwood throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the front, sides, top and interior (pictured), also stains to the interior (pictured). The antique mahogany bureau remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. The lock is no longer functional, however the key is used as a pull to open the fall front. Overall, a good example of its kind.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
