George II Style Gainsborough Oxblood Red Leather & Mahogany Armchair (georgian)

This George II style, Gainsborough armchair with solid mahogany frame and deep button down faded oxblood red coloured leather hide upholstery, dates from the early to mid C20th. With full button down back and seat. Open padded arms with curved fluted arm supports. Full brass tack trim. Raised on fluted square front legs, swept square rear legs all supported by H-Stretchers.
 
The leather has been faded, possibly by design.
 
A very handsome Gainsborough armchair. In good condition and ready for use.

This armchair measures approximately 103 cm (40.5'') tall, 64.5 cm (25.5'') wide, and 77 cm (30'') deep. The seat height is approximately 43 cm (17'').
