This is an antique historic desk statue. A Continental, cast bronze mounted figure of Frederick the Great of Prussia (1712 - 1786), dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Delightfully captured in miniature, the Equestrian Statue of Frederick the Great stands prominently in Berlin's Unter den Linden near to the Royal Palace.

Superb desk interest with magnificent weathering and historic interest

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order

Cast bronze presents dark grey tones with flourishes of verdigris hues

Appealing weight in the hand at 3.24kg (7.14 lb)

In prominence, Frederick the Great sit atop his graceful steed

Striking cloak and mane detail, with a fine muscularity to the horse

Accentuated with slips of brass for the reins terminating in Frederick's hand

To his right hand side, his walking cane sits proudly

Raised upon a stout octagonal plinth with decorative finish
