Gents 1941 Bulova Ambassdor Curvex Wrist Watch

Gents 1941 Bulova Ambassdor curvex wrist watch.

The watch has a 21-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. This is the calibre 10AX which was in production for just a short period from 1940 until 1942. It came in 15, 17 and 21 jewel variants, this is the 21 jewel model. The movement is fully signed and it has the date code for 1941.

The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 40mm high excluding the articulated lugs. The case is 10k gold filled and it is all in very nice condition. Both the inside and outside of the case back are signed with the Bulova name.

The convex lens has a small mark underneath but otherwise is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A later leather strap has been fitted although the Bulova buckle has been transferred over.

The Ambassdor was first seen in Bulova advertisements in 1939, as per the copy advert shown in the photo (the advert is for information only, it is not included in the sale).

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
