A fine and highly decorative Italian gilt wood picture frame, with a distressed mirror plate.
These frames were made for Newlyn School paintings in the 19th century.
This frame would suit a painting up to 56 x 73 cm.
Condition:
Occasional tiny chips to gilding commensurate with age.
