A beautiful example of an antique 9ct gold front and back buckle locket. This traditional style of locket dates from the 19th century when Queen Victoria wore a buckle ring to signify the Order of the Garter. A belt design runs around the front of the locket surrounding a flower engraving and further engravings to the border. The rear of the locket is engraved with a floral pattern. A part of our antique locket collection.
The buckle represents strength and loyalty and was a popular design throughout the Victorian period.

Excellent – This antique 9ct gold front and back buckle locket is in stunning condition. The locket only shows very light wear. There’s no degradation to the engravings, no knocks or dents and the hinge and catch work perfectly.
